IN AN EVER-CHANGING AND COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE, GHISLAINE LANDRY HAS BEEN AT THE FOREFRONT OF WOMEN’S RUGBY IN CANADA, AND THE WORLD, FOR OVER A DECADE.

As Captain of Canada's Women’s Rugby Sevens team, Ghislaine's leadership on and off the field have been pivotal to the success and growth of Canadian women’s rugby. She has helped the team win a World Cup Sevens silver medal, a Pan American Games gold medal, 28 World Sevens Series medals, and an Olympic bronze medal in 2016.

In 2018, she became the first woman to reach 1000 points on the World Sevens Series and currently holds the all-time women’s points record. Ghislaine has been named to the World Sevens Series Season Dream Team 4 times, and was nominated for World Sevens Player of the Year in 2017.

Ghislaine has never been the biggest player on the field, but her heart and dedication to her craft have allowed her to continue to excel and perform at the highest level on the world stage.

2021 SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES

Ghislaine has been officially nominated, and will Captain the team, for the 2021 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. The team continues preparation and training in Victoria, BC until they depart for Tokyo.
